The U.S. census just released 2017 state to state migration figures, which I have turned into the graph attached. It seems people mostly move to CA for jobs, and leave CA for jobs, more affordable cost of living (mostly housing), and/or lower state income tax rates. There is a lot of traffic to and fro the various high-tech centers around the country, but domestically speaking, more people are leaving than arriving. However, foreign immigration tips CA population into growth. Moving to and from CA is one of my specialties. Please let me know if my team can assist in any way!
