MARIN REAL ESTATE PRACTICES TODAY:
- In-person showings and touring of properties can not be conducted while the shelter in place order is in effect as they are not included in the list of "essential activities." This may change in the near future but we are absolutely abiding by this mandate to protect our community and clients.
- Open Houses suspended until SIP is lifted
- Broker Tours suspended until SIP is lifted
- Walkthrough videos & virtual open houses via a live stream from the Seller are options we have to "show" a property. We are working with our marketing team for creative solutions on how to market our amazing listings while also creating a balance between having our listings promoted during the Covid-19 outbreak. We are very clear that we want our listings aligned with our values and brand which is strongly rooted in the community and setting high standards on how to conduct business, at all times.
- MLS Days on Market - Many agents are "Temporarily Withdrawing" their listings and will relaunch when the shelter in place is lifted
- Title companies are still working and the Marin County recorder's office is conducting eRecordings to transfer ownership to new owners
- Lenders are changing their policies for appraisals daily - some have suspended appraisals, some are doing drive-by appraisals, some are temporarily removing an appraisal as a condition for funding a loan
Our industry is doing everything possible to continue to close transactions and keep Marin real estate moving forward.

COVID-19 FAMILY FOOD FUND
Adopt A Family is pleased to support the Coronavirus Emergency Family Food Fund, a collaboration between eight Southern Marin School Districts to provide immediate assistance to community families in need. The fund will distribute grocery gift cards on a per-student basis to district families that qualify for free and reduced lunch. Donations are 100% tax-deductible and all funds will go directly toward the purchase of grocery cards.
